One in a Million

My sister April & her 3 kids:  Lance, Zackery, & Grace

My Mom, Maxine, is Nanny to all her grandkids.

I can imagine that as God looked at my life's trachectory, that it was not an accident that I was blessed with the relationship that I have with my sister, April.  During all the low spots in my life's journey, she has always reached out, grabbed onto me, & helped me on my way.  During all the great, happy moments, she's there too...just smiling, clapping, & cheering me on.  I am so lucky to have her to open up to....she doesn't judge me or tell me only the things that are easy to say & hear.  She's one in a million!

Not Taken for Granted

In August, my Mom, sister April, & her kids came to Washington to visit.  We had our photos done outside, near a chapel & a field of grass.  It was a warm, beautiful day...we had such a great visit.  I miss seeing them but will be home for Christmas this year & I'm so excited & can't wait to see them.  I don't take looking into their eyes or giving them a hug for granted.

Mom, April, & I with Mt. Rainier in the background.
Love, love, love this one...we all have the best smiles!
Love the light coming through the stained glass

Love Abounds

Top Ten Reasons to Neglect Your Blog
  1. Every day is filled with listening, talking, playing, smiling, laughing & loving each other.  Pure, liquid happiness.  Not so much kissing in public anymore.
  2. Bedtime reading:  favorites are Tikki Tikki Tembo, The Monster Manual, One Dog Canoe, all things Farmer Brown
  3. Favorite fruit:  strawberries with nutella.  Veggies, not so much
  4. The Good Castle & the Bad Castle---well, there are two & sometimes, they are called different names. Knights & dragons have replaced dinosaurs.
  5. Not only an imaginary friend, but an imaginary sister:  Sara
  6. Loving Montessori school, aka learning to play with children instead of adults
  7. When Mom works, it means a trip to White Horse Toys.  A favorite place with Daddy, sometimes followed by playland.
  8. Swimming:  jumping off diving board & swimming to pool edge, Spider man flippers, & as always, loving Ms. Kristen (teacher)
  9. When Nannie came to visit, fun day followed by fun day followed by fun day---for 3 glorious weeks!
  10. Age 4 is awesome, mid-40's, sometimes a struggle!
  11.
