Yep

Trust is fragile and I am trying to make sense of it's disappearance.  If you know and believe in trust, you are not even aware of it's importance until it's gone. You are left questioning your belief construct in not only the person and relationship but everything you believed you were sure of. Especially, yourself.
It's like a piece of new paper, crisp.  After it is balled up for trash, you can try to flatten and straighten it out as much as you can, but it will never be the same.

Things I had taken as truths turned out to be lies or misperceptions, and selfishness as sacrifice.

Deep down, I still believe most people are inherently good and are doing their best. Yes, even me. I have made a conscious choice not to let any experience in my life change this core belief. I know there is evil in the world and I have stared into it's eyes a few times in my life.
